We are always planning and developing additional modules.  If you have suggestions for modules you would like us to offer, we'd love to hear from you.  Just send us an email at Customer Support.

There are a number of things we consider when evaluating possible new modules.  Among them:

  • How popular would it be with our customer base?
  • Is it unique/different from our current offerings, adding good options to our overall tone offering?
  • Can we find enough technical detail to evaluate the design and other technical aspects of the circuit?  (Assuming the new pedal will compare to some existing circuit.)
  • If it is a new circuit design, do we have enough detailed requirements to design it?
  • What is the market status of the circuit - new design, current production, retired, available in used markets, rare/expensive/difficult to find, etc?
  • Is it just plain cool, interesting, or unique and needs to be available again?
  • Is/Was it used by famous artists?
  • Can we add value to the design with modifications, customizations, options, or improvements?
  • Any legal issues?
  • Any technical issues with adjusting them to our switching, power, and racking requirements?
  • Does it require any unobtainable components?  Are there reasonable substitutes for them?
  • How much time/cost will be required for the R&D?

We usually have a couple dozen designs we are considering, and dozens more that we have thought about but aren't yet pursuing actively.  We lump those into two categories, called simply "Next" and "Later".  The Next ones are actively under consideration and have a good probability of being developed as we get time.  The Later ones are of interest, but are currently considered a lower priority because we think they score low on some of the questions above.  As we research and evaluate them, designs move between the two lists.

We won't normally pre-announce an upcoming new module until we have the R&D completed and are satisfied with our results.  If we don't offer an effect that is a "show stopper" for purchasing from us, definitely drop us a line to see if we have something in the works that would solve the problem.

We also consider additional configurations of our current modules.  For example, there are many Tube Screamer, Tone Bender, Big Muff, etc derivatives that we could probably offer with our current designs.  These can be very quick and easy to add.
