Lightly used GT rack modules and equipment at reduced cost with no waiting!

Most of the modules listed here were demo models which were taken to various guitar shows.  Some are early models. 

Early models were never sold to customers.  They were used only for demos.  In general, early models differed in two ways from our production models.  First, the internal connectors were "friction lock", meaning the two pieces just slid together and lightly clicked into place.  The second difference is that some used high-end aeronautical wire with those connectors.  Over time, that wire would try to straighten itself and return to its original coiled shape instead of keeping the bends we used to run the cables nicely.  That combination of stiff wire and friction connectors didn't work out.  Of all the hundreds of design decisions we made, this was the only one that really didn't work out.  The wire on its own was fine.  The friction connectors using other types of wire were fine.  But the stiff wire put pressure on the friction connectors that would cause them to work loose, come apart, or cause pins to lose connections.  We decided to stop using that type of wire and we switched from friction lock to locking tab connectors before we ever made our modules available to customers.  All those early models were used only for demos.  We went back and replaced the wire with another type of wire that does not cause the problem with the connectors.  But many of the connectors themselves cannot reasonably be replaced because they are soldered to the circuit boards.  So the friction lock connectors are still there.  They work fine with the new wire, but that is a difference between the early models and the production models that we built later.

We also built demo models with our current production design using the locking tab connectors.  They are built to the same component standards as the production models.

In both the early and later demo models, we chose options and configurations for demo purposes.  Many of the modules have more options than you would probably choose, just so we could demo the options.  In some cases, there are options in a module that don't really work together (weren't intended to), but we still wanted to demo them.  These option combinations don't malfunction or anything like that.  But they may not make sense to use them together, or in combination they don't have the effect you would expect from each.  There are lots of tone control options like that.  For example, a noise cut may take away some treble.  If there is a treble boost control, and you use it with that noise cut, you might not get as much noise cut and/or you might not get the treble boost.  But if you use either one independently, you get what you expect from each.

The descriptions for the modules will mention all the options and feature choices.  With that information you can get the details about all those options in the detailed write-up for that module in our Products section of the website.

All of this gear has been lightly used, almost exclusively for demos.  However, they were hauled around a fair amount (in rack cases, of course) and played at guitar shows by lots of people for a few days each year.  There are a few chips and dings on the panels of some of them.

There are also a few cases of minor "hackery" in the builds.  Occasionally we get a new board design almost perfect but miss a connection or something in the design.  Or we decide to try a new option that wasn't thought of in an early version of a board.  In those cases, there may be a "jumper wire" or some extra connectors in the module construction to support some feature with that board version.  Most of those are not offered for sale if they result in something that we think is not production-worthy or could become a future problem.  But some minor instances are fine, and you would never know if we didn't tell you about them.  The description of the module will include details about anything like that.  We will not sell anything of poor quality, of course.  These modules are all completely usable, a "blem" version that still works fine.

We keep records of the details of each individual module we build.  Should you need support on any of these modules, you will get the same support as you would get with brand new production modules.

At the time I am writing this, we are not accepting orders for new systems due to high price increases of many components related to tariffs, changes in Customs policies, shipping, failed suppliers, and other factors beyond our control.  However, if you would need additional modules to add to used modules for sale here, contact us and we can probably still build anything you might need to complete your system.  We haven't gone away, we just aren't generally taking new orders right now.  Support is available for customers.

Generally, once a module is built it is not feasible to change configuration options, but occasionally it is possible.  If there is some module that isn't configured the way you would prefer, let us know and we'll see if it can be modified to meet your needs.

In addition to demo modules, you may find footswitches, rack enclosures, cables, and other items here.  You may need some of these items to configure a working rack system.  If you do not know what you need or don't see it listed here, contact Support and we're happy to help you figure out what you need and where to get it.

Pricing reflects that these modules were built before some painful component cost increases, they are used, some are early models, some are "blems", etc.

Payment is by PayPal.  Shipping is to US addresses only.  Shipping charges seem high to me and appear to fluctuate.  As a result, I do not post a shipping cost.  I will use the USPS calculator to calculate the shipping from Dallas, 75287 to your address, based on the dimensions and weight of the package.  Items will be shipped USPS Priority with tracking.  Please do not send a PayPal until we calculate the correct shipping charge and verify that the item is still available.  Once I know your shipping address, I'll send you an invoice for the full amount, and you can decide at that point if you want to make a purchase.
