The pedals listed below come from my personal collection.  Many of these are rare or uncommon, difficult to find, or otherwise "interesting".  Most of them are in what I will generically call "great" shape.  Many I bought new.  When I buy used, I'm very picky about condition, specific features, versions, etc.  Most I did NOT buy to play, so they remain in "great" shape.  I consider most of the pedals in this collection to be among the best pedals ever sold. 

I repaired, modded, and built pedals before I switched to building rack effects.  I know my way around pedals reasonably well as a result.  I also spent a lot of time researching the details of many pedals so I could build good versions of my rack effects that compare well to the original pedals.  All these pedals work like they should.  Many were purchased only to compare the original pedal sound with the sound from the rack versions of those circuits that I build, which means they were used for an hour or two and spent the bulk of their time with me in storage.  I feel confident that the pedals are accurately described and working properly unless otherwise noted.

The descriptions include anything I know about repairs, mods, or issues.  I also include several pics of each pedal.  I don't have a place with proper lighting, or the skill, to take great pics.  You'll see lots of dust particles (that you can't see in person), reflections, and shadows, maybe some blurred spots - sorry!  When my photography is particularly bad, I include some comments about that in the description.  If the pedal comes with the original box, instructions, case candy, etc, those are shown in the pictures.

If a pedal has velcro on it, I usually leave it on - seems to be a popular mod.  If you don't like velcro (like me), you can usually peel it off and use some Goo Gone or other sticker/adhesive remover to get rid of any stickiness that may be left behind.  Remove the back cover before you do that to avoid getting Goo Gone or soapy water on the rest of the pedal.  Also be careful not to scrub off any markings on the inside of the back cover.  Whatever you use, follow the instructions.  I've never had any problems, but I probably wouldn't try it on vintage/expensive equipment.

For many of the pedals, there are links to manuals, instructions, or other information.  These are provided only for general context.  Some of those documents are for different versions of the pedals than the listed pedal.  They may be helpful to understand what some of the controls do, some background about the pedal, how to identify different versions, etc.  In the case of vintage pedals, much of that info predates the Internet and is difficult or impossible to find or is for a version of the pedal that is too different from the listed pedal to be useful.  In that case there are no links.  It is possible that any such documentation could be incorrect or for the wrong pedal or version of the pedal.  In no case is any of this documentation part of the listing or description of the pedal, so don't rely upon any of it to make a purchase decision. 

The descriptions I provide are not detailed.  They contain mostly my opinion of the cosmetic condition of the pedal, along with any other condition or version information I may think is appropriate.  I assume buyers are informed about the brand/model/version of the pedals and I am mostly just supplying information about the condition of the specific one I have for sale.  Those descriptions and the pictures should make clear the condition of the pedal.  I have downsized the quality of my pictures for the website.  If you need higher resolution pictures or have any questions about the condition of the pedals, just send an email to Support and I'm happy to help with any details.

If you have any questions or need different pictures, just let me know by an email to Support BEFORE you purchase.  I don't include all the hype about specific colors, fonts in the graphics, chips, transistors, color of screws, etc, etc.  You can see that in the pics or ask me for details.  When I bought most of these pedals, I was looking for the "right" ones, with the "right" components, etc most of the time, or at least when I could afford it.  I wanted the best examples for comparison to my rack versions.  I wanted to know whether the "right" components really mattered and whether I needed to seek out those components for my own builds.  As a result, most of the vintage pedals have the "right" stuff inside.  Some of these pedals were purchased decades ago, so I may not recall all the details for each one.

I do not guarantee that any pedal you buy will sound like you want it to sound in your setup.  Guitars, pickups, amps, power, other effects, playing style, venue, music style, etc all affect the sound you get in the end.  Make an informed decision and be careful about hype in review and discussion forums.  I'm selling you a good working pedal, but you are responsible for getting the sound out of it that you want in your setup. 

I will pack them carefully and insure them for the total selling price.  If you have any questions about a pedal, I'm happy to answer them.  But once you purchase, there are NO REFUNDS, EXCHANGES, CREDITS, or other changes!  All sales are final.  

I look at prices of pedals that have actually sold on ebay and/or Reverb to get a range of what people are paying for a pedal in various conditions.  Since that seems reasonable to me, my prices are pretty firm.  If you think my pricing is off, you can try an offer.  Sometimes the price ranges move around a bit.

Payment is by PayPal.  Shipping is to US addresses only.  Shipping charges seem high to me and appear to fluctuate.  As a result, I do not post a shipping cost.  I will use the USPS calculator to calculate the shipping from Dallas, 75287 to your address, based on the dimensions and weight of the package.  Items will be shipped USPS Priority with tracking, insured for the purchase price.  Please do not send a PayPal until we calculate the correct shipping charge and verify that the item is still available.  Once I know your shipping address, I'll send you an invoice for the full amount and you can decide at that point if you want to make a purchase.

A little more on shipping rates...  Other than zip code, size, and weight, the value of the pedal for insurance matters.  For most of these pedals (priced $300 or less), the insurance will run $5 or less.  The more expensive ones ($1000 or more) could cost $15-20 or so for insurance.  You can use the USPS calculator for USPS Priority (Click-N-Ship, Normal Delivery Time) to get a good idea of the shipping cost using the price, weight, and dimensions shown on each page with shipping from 75287.  Click on where it says "Normal Delivery Time" to add the insurance amount.  Up to $100 insurance is free.  Tracking is included.  That's what I will be doing to give you the shipping cost on the invoice for the deal.  If you buy multiple pedals, I can check to see if combined shipping will lower the shipping costs.

I can tell you that taking hundreds and hundreds of pictures, thousands actually, downloading them from my phone, sizing them, uploading them to the website, building all these pages, researching prices, looking for documentation, reviewing descriptions, etc takes a *lot* of time, and isn't actually the most mentally stimulating activity you might spend a few weeks on.  The good news is that it isn't difficult, just tedious and repetitious.  There's some cutting and pasting and copying involved to speed things up.  The problem is that makes the process a bit error prone.  I'm reviewing my work as I go, but there are likely going to be some mistakes that slip past me.  If so, I expect to catch them during the sales process.  I apologize in advance if any errors or corrections pop up and "mess up" a deal, but I want to make sure you're getting the right stuff at the right price.  I'm not young anymore, so I have no time for drama in deals.  My main business is not selling pedals.  I make products with my name on them, which matters to me.  I don't do stuff that would reflect badly on myself.  I won't take any money until we are both in agreement about the deal, which you should find easy and pleasant to do.  I look forward to working with you!
