Excellent condition. This is a BYOC (Build Your Own Clone) kit build. BYOC made excellent kits for those that wanted a hands-on build experience. I built many of their kits many years ago and found them to be of excellent quality. It has been a very long time since I built any of their kits, so I cannot remember whether I built this particular pedal or not. It may have been built by Axe And You Shall Receive, the Canadian distributor for BYOC. This one has BC239C transistors and some resistor values that suggest it is built to the BYOC "Triangle v1" specs, a clone of the earliest versions of the EHX Big Muff Pi. The BYOC builds of their Triangle (and Ram's Head) versions are good enough that they are often rated favorable to many of the production clones of those specs, even though the BYOC pedals are kit builds.
There were different versions of the instructions for the Large Beaver kits, mostly depending on which versions of the Big Muff Pi were supported by different versions of the kits. The Manual link below may or may not be the instructions used to build this particular pedal. It includes instructions for the Triangle v1, but also includes the slight differences for other versions. Most BYOC kits had plain, unfinished enclosures. The Large Beaver was very popular and BYOC eventually made finished enclosures available. I think this one is circa 2015, but my records are unclear. I built/bought multiple Large Beavers over the years. At any rate, this is a good pedal, built properly, not a home hack job by an inexperienced builder. In the world of Triangle clones, this is one of the better-rated ones. Kit Rae discussed them in his epic Big Muff Pi site, which includes about all the information there is to know about Big Muffs - highly recommended for those with more than a passing interest in the Big Muff Pi. Google it up and lose an afternoon or two. BYOC shut down a few years back, so finding another kit or pre-build is pretty difficult. The price here is comparable to the pre-built kit prices when they were still available.
